1.1.3. Recommendations about the fuel choice

If the car is not equipped with the limiter in a tank mouth, then it is possible to use any gasoline with octane number (on иссл. method) 85 and above – both ethylated, and unleaded. Unleaded gasoline is more preferable.

If the car is equipped with the limiter in a tank mouth, then you have to use unleaded gasoline with octane number (on иссл. method) 91 or above (or 95 and above if it is so specified on the filling hatch) (fig. 1.5). On such cars the mouth of a gasoline tank has also a plate: "UNLEADED FUEL ONLY", "NUR UNVERBLEITES BENZIN" or "ENDASTBLYFRIBENSIN".

Mixes of neetilirovanyy gasoline with ethyl (wine) alcohol, so-called petrolalcohols, are on sale in some regions. In the car such mixes can be used at an alcohol condition of keeping in them no more than 10%. Be convinced also that the octane number of mix is not lower than recommended.

Mixes of unleaded gasoline with methyl (wood) alcohol are also on sale in some regions. Under no circumstances do not use the fuel containing more than 5% of methyl alcohol. Damages of fuel system or deterioration in characteristics of the car owing to use of such fuel do not fall under a guarantee for the new car, and in this case SUZUKI does not bear any responsibility.

The fuel containing no more than 5% of methyl alcohol can be applied in the car if in structure there are sorastvoritel and inhibitors of corrosion.

NOTE If the owner is not satisfied by road performance or fuel consumption of the car when using petrol-alcohol mix, it is recommended to return to use of unleaded gasoline without alcohol.

Diesel fuel has to have cetane number higher than 48 and the content of sulfur is lower than 0,035%. We recommend to apply the diesel fuel meeting standard of EN590. Do not apply ship diesel fuel, heating liquid fuel, etc.

ATTENTION The fuel tank has an air cavity for expansion of fuel at hot weather. If you fill the fuel tank after self-switching off of the filling gun or the first return from a mouth, the air chamber will be filled with fuel. At a heat fuel will begin to extend after such gas station and can flow out. For prevention of leak of fuel it is necessary to stop gas station after shutdown of the filling gun or the first return.
