3.4.3. Removal and installation of the drive of a forward wheel

Removal
Raskontrite also turn off a nut of a power shaft with a washer.
Lift the car on the elevator.
Remove a wheel.
Remove the lower covers of the engine.
Merge gearbox oil.
Merge oil from the transfer case.

Take out the forelock of a tip of steering draft 1 and turn off a koronchaty nut of 2 (fig. 3.124).
Disconnect a tip of steering draft 3 from a rotary fist 4 by means of the special tool (fig. 3.124).
Remove the hinge of a shaft of the drive of a wheel 2 of a rotary fist as follows.
For cars without the central shaft.
Using mount 1, remove the hinge of a shaft of the drive of a wheel 2.
For cars with the central shaft.

Using the kapron hammer 3, beat out the hinge of a shaft of the drive of a wheel of 2 (fig. 3.125).

Disconnect a spherical finger of the lever of a forward suspension bracket 1 from a rotary fist 2 having turned off a bolt and nuts of a spherical finger of 3 (fig. 3.126).
Take out a power shaft.

ATTENTION
To prevent damage of covers, you watch that they did not contact to other parts at removal of a power shaft.

For cars with the central shaft.

Turn off bolts of a support of a shaft 3 and remove a support 2 with shaft 1 from a semi-axial gear wheel (fig. 3.127).

ATTENTION
In order to avoid excessive stretching of a cover and separation of the hinge in a cover, do not pull for the case of the internal hinge.
Protect covers from damages, preventing their contact with suspension bracket elements at installation of a power shaft.
You do not strike blows to a cover with the hammer. Installation of the hinge has to be made only by hands.
Make sure that the internal hinge is installed correctly and its lock ring is in the place.
You watch to damaging an epiploon, at installation and removal of the central shaft.


Installation of a power shaft is made as it should be, the return to removal, except for the following.
Do not reuse a nut of a power shaft 2.
Do not reuse the forelock 1.
Tighten bolts and nuts the nominal force of an inhaling.

Moment of an inhaling of a bolt of a spherical finger (b): 60 N · m, koronchaty nut of a tip of steering draft (c): 45 N · m, nuts of a power shaft (d): 175 N · m, nut of a wheel (e): 85 N · m, bolts of a support of the central bearing (a): 55 N · m (fig. 3.128).
Fill in oil in the transmission.
Fill in oil in the transfer case.
