2.4.4. Check of the oil pump

Fig. 2.220. Working edge of an epiploon

Check a working edge of an epiploon for existence of damages. If damages take place, replace an epiploon (fig. 2.220).

Fig. 2.216. Extraction of external and internal rotors

Check external 1 and internal rotors 2, a plate of a rotor and the case of the oil pump for existence of traces of excessive wear or damages (fig. 2.216).

Fig. 2.218. Installation of the reducing valve

Check wear of the reducing valve 1, be convinced of absence of damage and check smoothness of operation (fig. 2.218).

Radial gap

Fig. 2.221. Check of a radial gap between an external rotor and the case by means of the probe

Check a radial gap between an external rotor 1 and the case 2 by means of the probe 3 (fig. 2.221).
If the gap exceeds extreme value, replace an external rotor or the case.
Extreme value of a radial gap between an external rotor and the case of the oil pump of 0,310 mm.

Side gap

Fig. 2.222. Measurement of a side gap

Using a testing range 1 and the probe 2, measure a side gap (fig. 2.222).
If the side gap exceeds extreme value, replace the oil pump assembled.
Extreme value of a side gap of an internal rotor of the oil pump of 0,15 mm.
