In addition to seat belts of front seats, the car is equipped with the system including pneumopillows opposite to seats of the driver and forward passenger, collision sensors, the electronic controller and the device of filling of pillows.

The car can be in addition equipped with side pneumopillows for the driver and the forward passenger, Pnevmopodushka of the driver is in a stupichny part of a steering wheel, and the passenger's pneumopillow – behind the car dashboard from its party. Places of their arrangement are designated by the words "SRS AIRBAG" on covers of nests.

Side pneumopillows (if are available) settle down in the part of a seatback, next to a door. Sideways seats the plate with the words "SRS AIRBAG" designating places of pneumopillows (fig. 1.158) is attached.

Pneumopillows supplement belts and increase degree of protection at collision. Irrespective of existence opposite to their seat of a safety cushion, the driver and passengers have to be always properly fastened by seat belts to reduce risk of heavy injuries or death in case of collision (fig. 1.159).

Forward pevmopodushka are inflated only at strong head-on collision. They do not react to blows behind and sideways, capsizing of the car and small head-on collisions – in these cases from them is not enough advantage. Side pneumopillows work only at strong side blow (fig. 1.160).

They do not react to blows behind and in front, capsizing of the car and weak side crashes. Only the side pneumopillow from that party where the blow had will be inflated. You remember as pillows during accident are inflated only once and at once lower, seat belts have to be clasped for deduction of people on places during possible further movements of the car during accident all the time.

Therefore pneumopillows – not replacement to seat belts; the maximum safety is ensured only by fastening by seat belts. It is also necessary to consider that no system can absolutely protect from all damages which can be received during accident.

If the AIR BAG indicator ('pneumopillow') on the dashboard does not blink at inclusion of ignition, does not die away or lights up during the movement, then the pneumopillow or the device of a preliminary tension of belts (the additional equipment) can be faulty.

Do not establish the children's seat turned back on a seat of the forward passenger. When filling a pillow air the child sitting so can die or get heavy injuries. A back of a children's seat in this case it will be too close from a pneumopillow.

If it is necessary to establish the seat turned forward for the child on a front seat, shift a seat of the forward passenger as it is possible further back
