1.5.5. Installation of a children's seat of safety by means of a diagonal and zone belt

NOTE Diagonal and zone seat belts can have system or as (automatic) fixing and blocking at accident (Afab), or only emergency blocking (Аб). Function of automatic fixing of objects can temporarily be given to the emergency blocked coils of belts of the first type. Belts of system of Ab to fix objects cannot (fix).

To find out whether the belt belongs to type Afab or Ab, slowly extend all belt from the coil. Then let's it be involved a little and extend again, repeating it several times. If the belt is fixed at each pulling, it type Afab if is not present, then is type of Ab.

Most often diagonal and zone belts on extreme places of back seats belong to type Afab.

We ask you to pay attention that methods of fastening of children's security aids by means of belts like Af and Afab differ.

If the bobbin mechanism did not pass into the mode of automatic fixing, the children's seat can move or overturn at sharp turn or a stop of the car.

To be convinced of reliability of installation of a seat, try to shift it in all directions. If it is necessary to tighten a belt, then pull it towards the coil-natyazhitelya.

When you undo a seat belt and will allow it to be involved a little, the coil will automatically return to the normal mode of emergency blocking.
