3.2.2. Replacement of oil in the mechanical transmission

Before replacement or check of level of oil, stop the engine and lift the car on the elevator so that it held horizontal position.
Check the level of oil and existence of leaks. At detection of leaks eliminate them.
Merge old oil and fill in the required amount of new oil (to an opening edge for control of level).

Fig. 3.38. Drain and filling traffic jams of MKP

Apply sealant on a carving part of a stopper of a drain opening 1 and openings for control of level of oil 2, tighten traffic jams as is described (fig. 3.38) below.
Moment of an inhaling of traffic jams of zalichny and drain openings of the transmission (a): 21 Nanometers.

NOTE
It is recommended to use GL-4 API 75W-90 gearbox oil.
Every time when raising the car on the elevator check lack of leak of oil.

Fig. 3.39. Classification of SAE gearbox oil

Oil for the API GL-4 transmission (classification of SAE is given in the table of viscosity of C in the figure 3.39)

The filling volume of the transmission of cars with the drive on one axis: 2,0 l.
Filling volume of the transmission of all-wheel drive cars: 4,1 l.
