3.2.3. Replacement of an epiploon from differential

Lift the car and merge oil from the transmission.

Remove a power shaft.

Remove an epiploon 1 by means of the special tool (fig. 3.40).

Establish a new epiploon 1 by means of the special tool and the hammer (fig. 3.41).

NOTE At installation of an epiploon its spring party has to be turned inside.

Distance between the case and an epiploon for the all-wheel drive a cars: 1,0–1,5 mm.

Distance between the case and an epiploon for cars with the drive on one axis of "a": 0–0,5 mm.

Apply jellied lubricant on a working edge of an epiploon and at the same time check smoothness of a contact surface of a power shaft.

Establish a power shaft or the central power shaft in a differential gear wheel.

Fill in oil in the transmission in the block and make sure that oil does not follow from under an epiploon.
