2.3.6. Removal and installation of the valve in a throttle branch pipe (if is available)

Removal
Merge liquid from system having weakened a drain stopper of a radiator.
Take out the valve.

Installation
Installation is made as it should be, the return to removal, except for the following.

Fig. 2.189. Connection of the valve to the bringing hoses of a throttle branch pipe: 3 – to a throttle branch pipe; 4 – to a head of the block of cylinders

Connect the valve 1 to the bringing hoses of a throttle branch pipe the 2nd yellow party has to be turned to a head of the block of cylinders.
Fill the cooling system.
Be convinced of lack of leak of cooling liquid from connections of the cooling system.

Valve check in a throttle branch pipe (if is available)
Check operation of the valve as follows.

Fig. 2.190. Connection of the valve to an exit of the vacuum pump

Connect the valve 1 to an exit of the vacuum pump (A), as shown in the figure 2.190, and be convinced that air goes out of the valve 1.
Ship the valve 1 in heated water (temperature more than 90 °C for 5 min., then be convinced that air does not go out of the valve 1. If the result of check differs from described, replace the valve.
