2.8.13. Check of the filter of system of catching of vapors of gasoline of system of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases

NOTE
Before check make sure that the lever of gear shifting is in neutral situation (at models with the automatic transmission the lever of the selector is installed in situation "P"), the air conditioning system is switched off, the car is fixed by the parking brake system.

Lift the car on the elevator.
Disconnect a hose 1 from the filter of system of catching of vapors of gasoline.

Close a finger the end of a hose of the disconnected hose and be convinced of lack of vacuum during the operation of the cold engine idling (fig. 2.291).
Connect a hose to the filter of system of catching of vapors of gasoline and warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature.
Disconnect a hose from the filter of system of catching of vapors of gasoline.
Also check availability of vacuum during the operation of the engine idling.
If the result of check does not meet standard, check vacuum channels, hoses, the valve of a purge of the filter of system of catching of vapors of gasoline, a plait of wires and an electronic control unit.

NOTE
The system of catching of vapors of gasoline does not work (in a hose of a produvkiya there is no vacuum) if the engine is insufficiently heated-up, and the sensor of concentration of oxygen with heating does not operate normally. Besides, at a hose detachment when performing operation air gets to system. As a result the electronic control unit reveals change of concentration of gas of a purge and, in certain cases, stops a purge, however, it does not indicate malfunction of system.

Start the engine and leave it to idle. Disconnect a vacuum hose 1 from the valve of a purge of the filter of system of catching of vapors of gasoline 2. Close a finger the disconnected hose and be convinced available vacuum (fig. 2.292).
If vacuum is absent, clear the vacuum channel compressed air.

Check hoses and their connections for existence of leaks, a contamination and damages. Replace if necessary (fig. 2.293).
