Removal

Disconnect a wire from a negative conclusion of the rechargeable battery (fig. 2.281).
Merge cooling liquid.

ATTENTION
Not to get burns, do not remove a radiator stopper if the engine and a radiator did not cool down yet. If the engine cooled down not enough, then at removal of a stopper of a radiator there can be an emission of hot liquid and steam.

Remove an inlet pipe.
Disconnect the socket from the sensor.
Remove the sensor 1 from the thermostat case.

Check
Ship a sensitive element of the sensor of temperature of the sensor 1 in water (or ice) and measure resistance between sensor conclusions at gradual heating of water.

If the measured resistance does not correspond to the characteristic shown in the left figure 2.282, replace the sensor 1.

Installation
Installation is made as it should be, the return to removal, except for the following.
Clear the interfaced surfaces of the sensor 1 and the case of the thermostat.
Check a sealing ring for existence of damages and replace in case of need.
Tighten the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid 1 nominal force of an inhaling.
Moment of an inhaling of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid (a): 15 N · m.
Connect the socket to the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid 1.
Add cooling liquid.
