3.3.3. Check of level of liquid in the automatic transmissionCheck of level at a normal working temperature (hot check)
Turn on the parking brake system and establish an antiretractable emphasis under wheels.
Start the engine at the selector lever installed in situation "P".
Warm up the engine before achievement by liquid of normal working temperature (70–80 °C).

|
Leave the engine to idle and slowly transfer the selector lever to situation "L" and back to situation "P" (fig. 3.89).
At the idling engine, take out the liquid level probe in the transmission, wipe it with pure fabric and establish into place.
Take out the liquid level probe in the transmission 1 again and check liquid level. Level of liquid has to be between FULL HOT 2 and LOW HOT 3. If level is lower than LOW HOT, add a DEXRON®-III liquid analog to the FULL HOT level.
NOTE
Do not raise engine turns during check of level of liquid.
Do not overflow the transmission. It can lead to foaming and slopping of liquid through сапун. And also to malfunction of the transmission.

|
The doliv from LOW HOT tag to a tag of FULL HOT requires 0,4 l (fig. 3.90).
If the car was operated in the conditions of high loading, for example, with the trailer, it is necessary to check the level of liquid not less, than in half an hour after a stop.
Check of level at a normal working temperature (cold check)
Level of liquid can be checked temporarily at the room temperature to which there corresponds temperature of 20-30 °C. This check of level represents preparation for check of level at a normal working temperature. Control is exercised the same as described in the section "Check of Level at a Normal Working Temperature (Hot Check)". If the level of liquid is between the tags "FULL COLD" 4 and "LOW COLD" 5, pass to a trial trip (fig. 3.90). When liquid gets warm up to the normal working temperature, check liquid level again and modify it if necessary.
ATTENTION
Check of level of liquid at the room temperature is recommended only for preparation for check of level at the normal operational mode. Non-performance of check of level of liquid at a normal working temperature can lead to damage of the transmission.
