2.1.16. Check of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition

NOTE
Adjustment of a corner of an advancing of ignition in operation is not required. If installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition – differs from norm, check system elements.
Before launch of the engine transfer the lever of gear shifting of transfers to neutral situation (the selector lever to situation "P" for models with the automatic transmission), slow down the car the parking brake system of set and record driving wheels.

If the Suzuki scanner is used, connect the Suzuki scanner to the DLC 1 socket, the switch of ignition has to be in the provision of "OFF" (fig. 2.33).

Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature.
Make sure that all electric consumers, except ignition are switched off.
Make sure that rotation frequency idling – within norm.
Establish initial value of a corner of an advancing of ignition as follows.

Choose the MISC mode on the Suzuki scanner and establish initial value of a corner of an advancing of ignition. If at your disposal there is no scanner (cars without control lamp of an immobilizator), connect conclusions D and E diagnostic sockets 1 crossing point to establish initial value of a corner of an advancing of ignition (fig. 2.34).

Using a stroboscope 1, check adjustment of the mechanism of gas distribution (fig. 2.35).
Initial installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition: 5 +3 ° to the top dead point (idling) the Operating procedure of cylinders 1-3-4-2.
If installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition – differs from norm, check the following:
– sensor of position of the crankshaft;
– plate of the sensor of position of the crankshaft;
– sensor of provision of a butterfly valve;
– switching signal chain;
– VSS;
– installation of a cover of a chain of the drive of the mechanism of gas distribution.
After check of initial installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition, cancel compulsory installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition the SUZUKI scanner or disconnect a crossing point from the diagnostic socket.
In the idling mode (the butterfly valve is closed, and the car is stopped) check installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition – about 3-17 ° to the top dead point. (A constant deviation within several degrees of 3-17 ° do not point to an aberration, but confirm functioning of an electronic control system of an ignition advancing corner).
Besides, check increase in a corner of an advancing of ignition with increase in frequency of rotation of the engine.
If results of check indicate an aberration, check the sensor of position of the crankshaft, a chain of the scheme of management and an electronic control unit.
