2.1.3. Check of a compression

Check a compression in all 4 cylinders.
For this purpose warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature.
Stop the engine after warming up.

NOTE
After warming up of the engine transfer the lever of gear shifting of transfers to neutral situation (the selector lever to situation "P" for models with the automatic transmission), slow down the car the parking brake system of set and record driving wheels.

Remove the top cover of a head of the block of cylinders 1 (fig. 2.9).
Disconnect sockets of the coil of ignition 1.

Disconnect coils of ignition 2 with wires of high voltage of 3 (fig. 2.10).
Turn out all spark plugs.
Disconnect sockets of wires of fuel nozzles of 4 (fig. 2.10).

Install the special tool (компрессометр) in an opening of a spark plug (fig. 2.11).

Switch off coupling 1 (to lower loadings at launch of the engine) for cars with the mechanical transmission and completely press a pedal of management of fuel 2 supply completely to open a butterfly valve (fig. 2.12).
Turning the engine a starter (the rechargeable battery has to be completely charged), consider the maximum pressure on a kompressometra.

NOTE
For measurement of a compression it is necessary to turn the engine with a frequency not less than 250 min.-1 (the rechargeable battery has to be completely charged).

If the measured compression is lower than extreme value, check correctness of connection of a kompressometr. If компрессометр it is established properly, leak of air through piston rings and valves is possible.

Compression
Standard: 1400 kPa.
Limit: 1100 kPa.
The maximum difference between any two cylinders: 100 kPa.
Execute the same operations for each cylinder to receive 4 values.
After check, establish spark plugs and coils of ignition 1 assembled with wires of high voltage of 2 (fig. 2.10).
Connect sockets of coils of ignition 3.
Connect sockets of wires of fuel nozzles of 4 (fig. 2.10).
Check laying of the top cover of a head of the block of cylinders for existence of damages, then establish it in a groove of the top cover of a head of the block of cylinders 1 (fig. 2.9).
Establish the top cover of a head of the block of cylinders with laying on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
