2.1.6. Check of level of cooling liquid

To check the level of cooling liquid, lift a cowl and check level in a broad tank of the cooling system (the tank is made of transparent plastic).

NOTE For check of level of cooling liquid it is not required to remove a radiator stopper.

ATTENTION Not to get burns do not uncover a tank if cooling liquid boils. Do not remove a radiator stopper if the engine and a radiator did not cool down yet.

If the engine cooled down not enough, then at removal of a stopper of a radiator there can be an emission of hot liquid and couple (fig. 2.24).

When the engine cools down, check the level of cooling liquid in a broad tank 1.

Level of cooling liquid is normal if it is between a tag of FULL 2 and LOW 3 on a broad tank 1.

If the level of cooling liquid – is lower than LOW 3 tag, uncover a broad tank 4 and add cooling liquid in the tank to FULL 2 tag. Then establish a cover 4 and combine tags 5 on the tank and a cover.

NOTE If suitable qualitative antifreeze is used, there is no need to add additional inhibitors or additives which, allegedly, improve work of system. They can make negative impact on functioning of system and enter into unnecessary expenses. At installation of a cover of a tank combine tags in the form of arrows on the tank and a cover.
