6.1.1. Design of the brake system

By pressing a pedal of a brake in the main cylinder pressure of brake fluid which puts pistons in action increases (two ahead and four behind).
Main cylinder tandem. Brake highways are connected to the main cylinder, they form two independent contours. One contour ensures functioning forward right and back left brake mechanisms, another – the forward left and back right brake mechanism.
Pressure limiter depending on loading (LSPV) or the limiter of pressure (P-valve) is switched on in brake contours between the main cylinder and the back brake mechanism for cars without anti-blocking system of brakes.
In this brake system of a brake of forward wheels – disk, brakes of back wheels – drum.
The parking brake system has the mechanical drive. The parking brake system has the drive only on brake mechanisms of back wheels by means of a cable and mechanical communications. The same brake shoes are used for parking and for the working brake system.
