2.5.7. Removal and installation of a fuel pipe

Removal
Dump fuel pressure in the giving fuel-supply line according to "The procedure of dumping of pressure of fuel".
Disconnect a wire from a negative conclusion of the rechargeable battery.
Disconnect a fuel-supply line and a hose of supply of fuel from a fuel-supply line in a forward and back part of each fuel-supply line.
For quick-detachable connecting couplings 2 – disconnect as follows:

Fig. 2.229. Detachment of quick-detachable couplings

a) Remove dirt and dust from a junction of a tube 1 and the hinge with a stream of compressed air (fig. 2.229).
b) Unblock the coupling lock the special tool.
c) Disconnect the coupling 2 from a tube of 1 (fig. 2.229).
Disconnect the brake highway from the connecting coupling.

Fig. 2.230. Tubes with collars and places of drawing markings

Mark the provision of collars 1 on fuel pipes 2 so that at repeated assembly collars could be established on the places (fig. 2.230).
Remove tubes 2 with collars 1 from the car (fig. 2.230).
Remove collars 1 from tubes 2.

Installation
Establish collars on tubes according to the made marking. If the collar is deformed or its ledge is bent or broken, replace it new.
Install tubes with collars on the car.
Connect hoses of supply of fuel and a tube.

ATTENTION
At connection of the coupling clear external surfaces of a tube on which the coupling will be installed, insert the coupling into a tube before click of the lock of the coupling and check reliability of connection, otherwise, in this place there can be a leak.

Without starting the engine, include ignition and be convinced of lack of leak of fuel.

Check of a fuel nozzle on the car

Fig. 2.231. Check of a sound of work of a fuel nozzle

Using a stethoscope 1 or the similar device, check a sound of work of a fuel nozzle 2 at the engine (fig. 2.231) working or scrolled by a starter.
Frequency of a sound of work has to change according to the frequency of rotation of the engine.
If the sound is not listened or listened an unusual sound, check a power-supply circuit of a fuel nozzle (a wire or the socket) or a fuel nozzle.

Fig. 2.232. Check of resistance of a winding of a fuel nozzle

Connect an ohmmeter to the socket of a fuel nozzle (fig. 2.232).
If resistance differs from norm, replace a nozzle.
Resistance of a winding of a fuel nozzle of 11,3-13,8 Ohms at 20 °C
