2.5.9. Check of a fuel nozzle

ATTENTION
As at this check there is a fuel injection, work in well aired zone far from sources of an open flame.
You watch preventing sparking at connection and shutdown of a test wire to the rechargeable battery.

Fig. 2.235. Connection of a fuel nozzle to a fuel supply hose

Establish a fuel nozzle 3 and the regulator of pressure of fuel 4 upon special adaptation (the stand of check of fuel nozzles) (fig. 2.235).
Connect a hose with the extra to a hose of supply of fuel 1 on the car.
Connect the special tool (a test wire) to a fuel nozzle.
Establish a suitable vinyl tube on a nozzle of a fuel nozzle to prevent spraying of fuel when performing check.

Fig. 2.236. Check of a fuel nozzle: A – when using the Suzuki scanner; B – if the Suzuki scanner is not used; 3 – rechargeable battery; 4 – you hold as it is possible further from each other

Substitute measured capacity under a fuel nozzle, as shown in the figure 2.236.
Turn on the fuel pump and give fuel under pressure to a fuel nozzle as follows:
Connect the scanner to the DLC 5 socket at the switched-off ignition.
Include ignition, remove a diagnostic code and choose the MISC TEST mode on the scanner.
Turn on the fuel pump.

Check without the Suzuki scanner
Take out the relay of the fuel pump from the socket.

ATTENTION
Be convinced of correctness of connection of conclusions. The wrong connection can lead to damage of an electronic control unit, plait of wires, etc.

Connect two conclusions of the socket of the relay 1 test wire, as shown in the figure 2.236.
Include ignition.
Connect a fuel nozzle 2 to the rechargeable battery on 15 with, and measure nozzle productivity by amount of fuel in measured capacity. Check each fuel nozzle two or three times. If the result of measurement does not meet standard, replace a fuel nozzle.
Productivity of a nozzle is 43–47 cc/of 15 pages.
Check the size of leak of fuel from a nozzle of a fuel nozzle. Do not include a fuel nozzle when performing this check (the fuel pump has to work). If leak of fuel 1 exceeds the value provided below, replace a nozzle.

Fuel leak
Less than 1 drop a minute.
