5.2.6. Removal and installation of the lower shaft of steering
Never you set in motion a steering wheel during removal of the lower shaft of steering. Otherwise, it is necessary to adjust anew the provision of a contact spiral (on the combined switch). Besides, at turn of a steering wheel more than on two and a quarter turns will lead to destruction of a contact spiral.
Turn a steering wheel so that forward wheels of the car were in provision of the rectilinear movement.
Turn the ignition key in position of LOCK and take a key from the lock.
Uncover the elastic coupling of steering 5.

Make adjusting tags 4 on the lower shaft 1 both the hinge of a shaft of a steering column 2, and the lower shaft 1 and a shaft of 3 (fig. 5.31)
Turn off the lower bolts of the hinge of a shaft of 6 (fig. 5.31)
Make sure that forward wheels and a steering wheel are in provision of the rectilinear movement.
Combine a flat part of "A" of the lower shaft of steering 1 with an opening of "B" of the hinge of a shaft 2 columns, as shown in the figure 5.32
. Install the lower shaft in the hinge of a shaft of a steering column with compliance with tags 4.

Establish the lower shaft 1 in a hollow shaft 3 according to tags of 4 (fig. 5.32)
Tighten a bolt (from an axis of satellites) the 6th nominal force of an inhaling, and then a bolt (from a steering column) the 5th nominal force of an inhaling (fig. 5.32)
Moment of an inhaling of bolts of the hinge of a steering shaft (a): 25 N · m.
Establish a cover of the elastic coupling of steering of 7 (fig. 5.32)
Moments of an inhaling of threaded connections
Screw of the lower facing of a steering wheel: 0,85 N · m.
Nut of a steering shaft: 33 N · m.
Nut of fastening of a steering column: 14 N · m.
Bolt of the hinge of a steering shaft: 25 N · m.
