5.2.9. Check of effort on a steering wheel

Install the car on the horizontal section of the road, establish a steering wheel in provision of the rectilinear movement.
Check pressure in tires.

Start the engine and leave it to work until liquid in a hydraulic system of steering gets warm to 50–60 °C (fig. 5.35).
Leave the engine to idle and measure effort in steering by a spring dynamometer, having attached it to a steering wheel in the direction of a tangent.
