Purpose of catalytic converter – reduction of content of harmful substances in exhaust gases. It is forbidden to apply ethylated gasoline as lead deactivates substances catalysts. Converter is calculated on all service life of the car at its normal operation and use of unleaded gasoline. The catalyst does not demand special service. It is important, however, that the engine was well adjusted. Incorrectly adjusted ignition can lead to a catalyst overheat. Thermal damage of converter and other knots of the car can become result.

Not to do harm to the catalyst or the car in tsepy:
– you keep the engine in the good working condition;
– malfunction of the engine, especially interruptions in ignition or loss of power, eliminate immediately;
– do not switch off ignition by the included transfer to time of the movement;
– you do not start the car by pushing, towing or lowering from a hill;
– do not allow the engine to idle, disconnecting high-voltage wires, for example, for the purpose of diagnostics;
– do not allow the engine to idle long if its work seems abnormal;
– do not allow full depletion of a gasoline tank.
