1.6.16. Movement along the slippery road

On the wet road follows in order to avoid a skid when braking to move with a smaller speed, than on dry. On the iced-over, covered with snow or dirty road reduce the speed of the movement, avoid sharpness at dispersal, braking and in work with a steering wheel.

All-wheel drive models (4WD)
The all-wheel drive car is designed for ensuring the best draft at movement along slippery roads. However it is not intended for driving on deep snow, to dirt or sand is similar to all-terrain vehicles. Do not test the car in such conditions.

Antisliding chains
The chain of antisliding should use only in case of need increases in coupling or implementation of requirements of the law. Make sure that the chains used by you approach by the size tires. Be convinced also that between wings and the established chains a sufficient gap. Put on chains densely forward tires, according to instructions of the manufacturer. If necessary tighten chains after about 1 km of driving. With chains you hold moderate speed.

ATTENTION
If chains knock on a car body, stop and tighten them.
If on car wheels continuous caps, then before installation of chains it is necessary to remove them not to damage their tapes of chains.

If you got stuck in snow, dirt or sand, shake the car by the translation of the lever of switching (both manual, and automatic transmissions) alternately in the provisions corresponding to advance (in RCP – the 1st transfer) and back. It can give to the car inertia, sufficient for an exit.
Press the accelerator pedal carefully to exclude slipping. At gear shifting remove a leg from "gas". Do not give full gas to the engine. Bystry rotation of wheels will cause a further instillation, complicating release of the car; if after five minutes of such rocking the car is not released, look for the tow.
Provide that during rocking of the car of nobody near it was, and do not untwist wheels more than 40 miles/h on a speedometer. Too bystry rotation of wheels can lead to injuries and (or) to damage of the car.

ATTENTION
Do not shake the car longer than several minutes. Long rocking can lead to an overheat of the engine and damage of the transmission.

Loading of the car
In a design of the car certain weight characteristics are put. Indicators of the admissible full weight (AFW) and loads of a forward and back axis (BOTTOM) are given in table 2.1.
The PDM, admissible full weight is the largest mass of the car allowed for operation, including the mass of the driver, passengers and freight, and also the weight corresponding to load of the coupling device from a dyshl of the trailer. The BOTTOM, (a permissible load on an axis) is the largest allowed weight loading a certain axis – forward and back.
The actual full mass of the loaded car and the actual loads of a forward and back axis can be determined only by weighing of the car. Compare these indicators about the PDM and the BOTTOM for the back and forward bridge. If the full mass of the car or loading on at least one of axes exceeds admissible value, then it is necessary to remove a part of freight to normalize the called indicators.
Never overload the car. The full mass of the car (the sum of mass of the car, the driver, passengers, accessories and freight, and also weight, the corresponding load of the coupling device from a dyshl of the trailer) should not exceed admissible value (PDM). Do not load the car so that the permissible load of any of axes (BOTTOM) would be exceeded.
Distribute freight evenly. In order to avoid injuries or damage of the car fix freight so that it could not be displaced at the sharp movements of the car. Place heavier objects on a floor and it is possible closer to a forward part of a cargo compartment. Never stack freight above spinoksideniye.

Driving with the trailer
The Suzuki car is designed for transportation of people and usual quantity of baggage, not for driving with the trailer. It is not recommended to use the car for driving with the trailer if there are no local norms of rather admissible size of the towed freight (for example, the register or established by the law loading capacity). It can have an adverse effect on controllability, durability and a consumption of fuel.
In some countries driving with the trailer of a certain maximum weight is allowed (is accepted smaller of two values – register and established by the law). The cars sold in these countries can go with the easy trailer provided that the mass of the trailer does not exceed the value established by norms of the country. Buying the trailer, it is important to choose the traction coupling device suitable it.

ATTENTION
The trailer creates additional load of the engine, transmission and brakes of the car. Do not tow the trailer throughout the first 1000 km of a run at all.

ATTENTION
With the automatic transmission never rise in the range of "D" with the trailer by a steep slope. It can lead to an oil overheat in the transmission (without the warning signal) and, as a result, to damage of the box.
