1.6.38. Accumulator

The hydrogen which is emitted from the accumulator is very flammable. In order to avoid explosion do not allow sparking or use of naked flame near the rechargeable battery. You do not smoke in close proximity to the battery.
During the checking or service of the accumulator remove a weight wire. Avoid short circuit of poles of the accumulator metal objects (including via the car case).
In order to avoid harm to, to the car and the accumulator strictly conform to the rules on start from the external accumulator.
In the rechargeable battery which is not demanding service, water it is not necessary to add. Electrolyte level in the ordinary accumulator has to поддерживатбся between the top and lower mark. If the level of electrolyte fell below the lower mark, add the distilled water to the top mark.

Periodically check the accumulator, its plugs and fastening regarding corrosion detection.
Delete products of corrosion by means of a rigid brush and liquid ammonia or solution of baking soda in water. After removal of corrosion rinse the place of processing by water. If you do not intend to use the car within a month or more, remove from the accumulator a weight wire for prevention of the category.
