1.6.31. Spark plugs

If candles nickel (usual), periodically check whether there is no deposit on them. In the presence of a deposit formation of a powerful spark is impossible. Remove a deposit by means of a delay or a needle and adjust a gap between electrodes. For access to candles remove four bolts 1 fixing the air filter assembled.

Uncover the air filter.

Remove the top cover of the engine.

If it is necessary, to otjedinit the socket 2, having pressed a clamp.

Unscrew bolts.

Pull together caps of candles.

NOTE At installation of candles be convinced that wires, connectors, rubber consolidation of the top cover and washer are correctly established on the places.

ATTENTION At removal of wires from candles pull for caps, but not for a wire (fig. 1.203). Having pulled for a wire, it is possible to damage it. At service иридиево – platinum candles (with a thin central electrode), do not concern the central electrode, it can be damaged easily.

ATTENTION At installation of candles at first screw in them fingers not to damage a carving. Tighten candles to effort of 25 N · m. Do not allow penetration of pollution into cylinders through openings for candles when they are removed. Do not try to screw in candles with other diameter of a carving.

NOTE If on the car usual shnuroobrazny high-voltage conducting and the car experiences interruptions in ignition, difficulties with launch of the engine, etc., a problem not necessarily in candles; it can be also in high-voltage wires (especially if they served more than 5 years or 80 000 km). If replacement of candles does not fix a problem, address the official dealer of Suzuki for check of wires and other elements of system of ignition.
