1.6.2. Lever of the parking brake

The lever of the parking brake is between front seats. For turning on of the parking brake press a brake pedal and pull the lever up to refusal. For an otpuskaniye of the parking brake press a brake pedal, pull the lever slightly up, press a thumb the button on its end and lower the lever in a starting position. In the car with the automatic transmission it is always necessary to turn on the parking brake before installation of the lever of switching in position of the parking ("Р"). If the car parks on a slope and this rule is not followed, the weight of the car can at start-off from the place complicate a lever conclusion from situation "P". Before a start of motion bring the switching lever out of situation "P" before an otpuskaniye of the parking brake.

Do not begin the movement with the switched-on emergency brake: efficiency of back brakes will decrease because of an overheat, the resource of brakes will decrease or they will be seriously damaged.

At the parking of the car come to frosty weather as follows:

1) turn on the parking brake;

2) include the 1st transfer or a backing, and in case of the automatic transmission – the parking ("Р");

3) having killed the engine, go out of the car and enclose persistent boots under wheels;

4) switch off the parking brake. Before a start of motion at first turn on the parking brake and only then put away boots.
