1.6.19. Engine oil and oil filter

Oil for the engine has to meet the SG, SH, SJ or SL specifications. Choose viscosity of oil according to the chart provided above.

For temperatures above -20 °C it is recommended to use SAE 10W-30, for temperatures below -20 °C we recommend to use SAE5W-30.

For good lubricant of the engine it is very important to support the necessary level of oil. It should be checked when the car in horizontal position. On a bias the indication of level of oil is incorrect. It is necessary to check oil level before start of the engine or not less than 5 min. after its stop.

The handle of the index of level of oil is painted for the best identification in yellow color. Take out the index, wipe it with a pure rag, insert back up to the end and take out again. Level has to be between marks of a minimum and a maximum in the index. If level about a minimum, add oil to the maximum level.

ATTENTION The engine can seriously suffer because of shortage of oil if its level is not checked regularly.

Uncover an oil-filling mouth and fill in oil slowly to the top mark in the index. Be careful, do not pour. Surplus of oil is also harmful, as well as a shortcoming. After filling of oil start the engine and let's it work on single turns about a minute. Stop the engine, wait for minutes five and again check level.
